Step your game up!

Bebe 'Liza' pumps

For those of you dolls who have waited patiently for Bebe to re-release their famous 'Liza' pumps...the wait is ovaah! They are back in full effect and I couldn't help but wake up at 6am from all the excitement. For those who know me dearly, they'll tell you I am NO morning person. But I make an exception for 2 things. Fashion & church. Well, it might be 3 considering I have to wake up early for work...but then again, I only work to keep up with my obsessive need to shop for clothes and accessories. So, nevermind. With my work being in fashion...for fashion, my point is made. 2 things. Enough said. Moving on to my absolute adoration for the Bebe 'Liza' pumps. Getting them was MY tribute to the YSL Tribute Double-Platform pump. I walked into Bebe with a mission. Like most of the time I shop of course! Except this time, there was a battle awaiting me. 2 other girls looking for the same shoe, in my size!! Can you imagine my face?! I almost died. Luckily, they didn't know who they were going against. I was like Isla Fischer in Confessions of a Shopoholic. I reached for the shoe before these girls could take their next breath and found my sales girl. "Size 7 please". Long story short...they only had one pair in 7 and guess who got 'em? Me of course! My love for the Bebe pumps came when I found out these babies came with a 5.5" heel and a 1" covered platform. The YSL's fall short with their heel measuring at only 4 1/10". I tried them on and it was perfection! I sent my mom a quick text to share my excitement. She's my fashion icon and the only one who would REALLY understand. After all, she's the woman behind my obsession with fashion.

Save the sequins!

      Alice + Oliva
Sequin Leggings $298

        Express
Sequin Leggings $98.

I've been eyeing the Alice+Olivia sequin leggings for some time now and $298 dollars later...they were about to be mine. That is until of course, I stumbled upon that gosh awful store Express, no offense to those of you who fancy this place, I personally just steer away from it. Anyway, moving on...out for everyone to see, a non avoidable shine of sequins hugging the long legs of an express mannequin caught the corner of my eye.  It's as if the god of fashion was taunting me and purposely trying to wheel me in. Sure enough, I was held captive and quietly made my way into the store with high hopes nobody would catch me. I was in and I had a mission. The black, long, glittery legs of the mannequin was nothing more than a replica of the Alice + Olivia sequin leggings I've been obsessing over the past few weeks. For a a nice little tag of $98... what was a girl to do? I asked myself out of all the stores in the world...why this generic place? Nontheless, they were perfectly made, had a beautiful shine to them and I knew right then and there...they were coming home with me. I had to save them from hanging in that store after all. The horror these pants had to go through! I thought of it as a fashion mission. Save the sequins! With the sequins saved and a bargain I couldn't miss... I thought I would indulge in the Alice+Olive Sequined Cascade cardigan. With some shredded jeans...you can't go wrong. Mission Accomplished.

All I want for Christmas is you...you stud muffin.

Tis the season to be jolly, well....to be correct, thankfull. I count my blessings and have much to be thankfull for, but let's get right down to business. Hermès! Oh how you never fail me. I'm so very thankfull to Hermès for designing such a sleek and fantastic cuff to add to my xmas wish list. It made it's way to the top of my list and by the history of my xmas wish list in the past, it's looking pretty good. My top pick usually always makes it's way under my tree and into my arms at the stroke of midnight. I don't know what it is with christmas that brings my inner child out. I'm the 20 something girl you'll find snooping around the house, looking in every closet, under the bed and the trunk of the car just to catch a glimpse of whats in store for me. About 2 months away and I can't even contain myself. But let's move on and get back to what we all came here for, the Hermès cuff. Created in 1949, this edgy design is back in full effect. From the Hermès "Everything old is new again" files, I can live with the silver hardware as pictured above, but a gold plated cuff would melt my heart. It's my clear choice. As most of you know, I'm bananas over pyramid studs whether it be my bags or jewelery. The Hermès cuff would fit just perfectly with my current obsession...the Tory Burch 'Studded Satchel'

Only 49 more days and my wrist should be flawless.
Until then....I'll rock my CC Skye 8 Stud Cuff.

xoxo, M.

It's Barbie's World...We Just Play In It.

In the land of dolls and glamour, I'm no child, but who doesn't get lost looking back at years playing with our BFF Barbie, dressing her up, cutting her hair, crying about it afterwards and then moving onto the next Barbie? Well, those fantastic memories have made their way back into my mind with news of a Barbie and Christian Louboutin collaboration. After 50 years, and 1 billion pairs of fabulous shoes, Barbie is kicking it up a notch with the help of one of the hottest shoe designers out there....Christian Louboutin. Did I mention he's her godfather? Yeah, Mattel made it loud and clear. With her 50 year celebration behind her, Barbie is looking to her Godfather, Christian Louboutin for a new look. In no better place than Paris, Barbie explores all of Christian Louboutin's favorite places and his fashion-filled life. In a soon to be released 2010 souvenir, a Barbie Calendar Dairy will be filled with colorful and whimsical photos of her adventures in Paris with Christian Louboutin. A series of 3 Barbies, deigned by Christian himself will be available at the end of this year and only 2,400 of the first 7,700 Louboutin Barbie's will be priced at $150 online and out of the catalog. Did I mention that according to Christian, Barbie had cankles? Who knew? Take those license plate frames down ladies. Look's like Barbie doesn't have "everything".

Picking Up The Missing Pieces

Should have known that FedEx man you've been eyeing can be all but good news. Well, I take that back. Just the one who was supposed to deliver Julia Clancey's new hand-sewn garments to her home and neglected to knock on the door or get a confirmation signature! Talk about a Fashion Faux Pas! Now the beautiful pieces that were to be shown at Julia Clancey's Spring/Summer 2010 Tutti Fruitt runway show at Chic Little Devil Style House on Sunday will no longer happen. Who would have the decency to take the collection? Not very stylish! I mean, what are they going to do now? Wear it? Julia Clancey took it upon herslef to involve the police and every media outlet to get the word out on the missing collection. A 5,000 reward goes out to whoever can bring the amazing, hand-sewn pieces back home. Luckily, photos were taken of the pieces before they were shipped off and stolen. By the looks of them, I really really hope they make their way back to Julia for a runway show not to be forgotten

Take a look at the missing pieces and help bring them back for fashions sake!

xoxo,
-M.

Bright Lights, Big City

Living in LA has it's perks. I mean, who else get's to enjoy a beautiful, breezy, sunny day in October? Although I can't wait for winter to kick in so I can get back to drinking my Chai Tea Latte's and sitting next to my brand new fireplace...I'm going to enjoy the sun a little bit longer. Which brings me to sunglasses! Years of my repeated, large shaped, Chanel & Ray Ban's are no more. I've moved on to some to-die-for sunglasses by the genious himself, Thierry Lasry. Son of an Optician and Designer, he took the best of both worlds and created a brilliant line of sunglasses that are very vintage-esque with a modern touch. Making it's way into the world of fashion and celebrity scene, the Thierry Lasry collection is sure to turn heads and paparazzi flashes! You can spot Nicole Richie and Beyonce rocking them on the regular. Sold in over 20 different countries in select department stores, concept shops and optical boutiques, you'll find yourself shelling out a good $400+ but it's worth ditching your electricity bill over. I am not one to talk about responsibilities. A serious shopoholic that will buy a new outfit before paying my phone bill. Soo guilty...but I manage.  If you haven't heard about Thierry Lasry, shame on you. I'm all over it!

The "Velvety 101". Beyond obsessed. My new shades of the season!

As seen on Nicole Richie

Similar to the "Velvety 101"....These might just be a my next pair.

For all you guys out there, need not worry. Thierry has you covered. Check out these Loccs!

Cop yourself a pair of Thierry Lasry's and enjoy the sun. We got more bounce in California!

Trend Alert: Spring 2010

I spy lace, sheer, structure, sharp shoulders and earth-tone hues with a splash of vibrant colors to compliment. That just about sums up the upcoming Spring 2010 trend. It seem's that the trend of bright and lively colors will dwell into Spring 2010. But in fashion, as Heidi Klum would so proudly say "One day your in and the next you are out." This goes for our fellow neon colors and bright hues that have graced us with their presence. For those who were in favor of the bright and vibrant colors, enjoy them while they last. By the time this trend goes into full force at your local retail shops, earth-tones will be making their way in and you'll be over it. Some lasting trends? Don't put your cut-up jeans away just yet. If you copped yourself a pair of cropped pants....your just in time. As for accessories...don't worry. Look's like the love affair we've all been having with sequins and statement jewelery this season will continue on till the Spring season. Ooh the romance! I'll keep my favorite bold, CC Skye & Marc Jacobs accessories out for just a lil while longer. Some of my noteable upcoming looks following Spring 2010's upcoming trends?

As I am a little banana's over Marchesa....I couldn't help but notice the Christian Loboutin for Marchesa Spring 2010 shoe collection! The whole added sheer look is a lil bleh and will take some gettin used to!
What do you think?

With earth-tones and vibrant hues in full gear...you can imagine my excitement when Dolce & Gabbana's Spring 2010 Collection brought out lace and sheer in black with a touch of earthy hues.

Okay. So I am completely on life support for Valentino's Spring 2010 collection. Buh-bye Alessandra Facchinetti...Hellllooo Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli!

Cropped lace pants? Sheer Genious!
