It's Barbie's World...We Just Play In It.

In the land of dolls and glamour, I'm no child, but who doesn't get lost looking back at years playing with our BFF Barbie, dressing her up, cutting her hair, crying about it afterwards and then moving onto the next Barbie? Well, those fantastic memories have made their way back into my mind with news of a Barbie and Christian Louboutin collaboration. After 50 years, and 1 billion pairs of fabulous shoes, Barbie is kicking it up a notch with the help of one of the hottest shoe designers out there....Christian Louboutin. Did I mention he's her godfather? Yeah, Mattel made it loud and clear. With her 50 year celebration behind her, Barbie is looking to her Godfather, Christian Louboutin for a new look. In no better place than Paris, Barbie explores all of Christian Louboutin's favorite places and his fashion-filled life. In a soon to be released 2010 souvenir, a Barbie Calendar Dairy will be filled with colorful and whimsical photos of her adventures in Paris with Christian Louboutin. A series of 3 Barbies, deigned by Christian himself will be available at the end of this year and only 2,400 of the first 7,700 Louboutin Barbie's will be priced at $150 online and out of the catalog. Did I mention that according to Christian, Barbie had cankles? Who knew? Take those license plate frames down ladies. Look's like Barbie doesn't have "everything".

Picking Up The Missing Pieces

Should have known that FedEx man you've been eyeing can be all but good news. Well, I take that back. Just the one who was supposed to deliver Julia Clancey's new hand-sewn garments to her home and neglected to knock on the door or get a confirmation signature! Talk about a Fashion Faux Pas! Now the beautiful pieces that were to be shown at Julia Clancey's Spring/Summer 2010 Tutti Fruitt runway show at Chic Little Devil Style House on Sunday will no longer happen. Who would have the decency to take the collection? Not very stylish! I mean, what are they going to do now? Wear it? Julia Clancey took it upon herslef to involve the police and every media outlet to get the word out on the missing collection. A 5,000 reward goes out to whoever can bring the amazing, hand-sewn pieces back home. Luckily, photos were taken of the pieces before they were shipped off and stolen. By the looks of them, I really really hope they make their way back to Julia for a runway show not to be forgotten

Take a look at the missing pieces and help bring them back for fashions sake!

Bright Lights, Big City

Living in LA has it's perks. I mean, who else get's to enjoy a beautiful, breezy, sunny day in October? Although I can't wait for winter to kick in so I can get back to drinking my Chai Tea Latte's and sitting next to my brand new fireplace...I'm going to enjoy the sun a little bit longer. Which brings me to sunglasses! Years of my repeated, large shaped, Chanel & Ray Ban's are no more. I've moved on to some to-die-for sunglasses by the genious himself, Thierry Lasry. Son of an Optician and Designer, he took the best of both worlds and created a brilliant line of sunglasses that are very vintage-esque with a modern touch. Making it's way into the world of fashion and celebrity scene, the Thierry Lasry collection is sure to turn heads and paparazzi flashes! You can spot Nicole Richie and Beyonce rocking them on the regular. Sold in over 20 different countries in select department stores, concept shops and optical boutiques, you'll find yourself shelling out a good $400+ but it's worth ditching your electricity bill over. I am not one to talk about responsibilities. A serious shopoholic that will buy a new outfit before paying my phone bill. Soo guilty...but I manage.  If you haven't heard about Thierry Lasry, shame on you. I'm all over it!

The "Velvety 101". Beyond obsessed. My new shades of the season!

As seen on Nicole Richie

Similar to the "Velvety 101"....These might just be a my next pair.

For all you guys out there, need not worry. Thierry has you covered. Check out these Loccs!

Cop yourself a pair of Thierry Lasry's and enjoy the sun. We got more bounce in California!

Trend Alert: Spring 2010

I spy lace, sheer, structure, sharp shoulders and earth-tone hues with a splash of vibrant colors to compliment. That just about sums up the upcoming Spring 2010 trend. It seem's that the trend of bright and lively colors will dwell into Spring 2010. But in fashion, as Heidi Klum would so proudly say "One day your in and the next you are out." This goes for our fellow neon colors and bright hues that have graced us with their presence. For those who were in favor of the bright and vibrant colors, enjoy them while they last. By the time this trend goes into full force at your local retail shops, earth-tones will be making their way in and you'll be over it. Some lasting trends? Don't put your cut-up jeans away just yet. If you copped yourself a pair of cropped pants....your just in time. As for accessories...don't worry. Look's like the love affair we've all been having with sequins and statement jewelery this season will continue on till the Spring season. Ooh the romance! I'll keep my favorite bold, CC Skye & Marc Jacobs accessories out for just a lil while longer. Some of my noteable upcoming looks following Spring 2010's upcoming trends?

As I am a little banana's over Marchesa....I couldn't help but notice the Christian Loboutin for Marchesa Spring 2010 shoe collection! The whole added sheer look is a lil bleh and will take some gettin used to!
What do you think?

With earth-tones and vibrant hues in full gear...you can imagine my excitement when Dolce & Gabbana's Spring 2010 Collection brought out lace and sheer in black with a touch of earthy hues.

Okay. So I am completely on life support for Valentino's Spring 2010 collection. Buh-bye Alessandra Facchinetti...Hellllooo Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli!

Cropped lace pants? Sheer Genious!

Peep the lace on these show stoppin heels! Hat designer, Philip Treacy for Valentino Spring 2010.
I'll take all 4 please!

In need of some chic simplicity? I'm gaga over Stella McCartney's Resort 2010 collection!

How about something bright, bold and vivacious? Bottega Veneta's Spring 2010 should do the trick!

My Cup of Tea at the Royal/T!

The first time I walked into The Royal/T Café was magical. Inspired by Japanese pop culture, LA's first Cosplay Café, Royal-T took on a staple of Japanese otaku culture and flipped it into one of LA's newest hot spots! Brought to you by Susan Hancock (whom I had the pleasure of meeting), the café, concept shop and art exhibition space pays homage to those with a love of art, imagination and simply a cup of tea! When imagining the scenery, think Alice in Wonderland meets Breakfast at Tiffany's. A whimsical atmosphere with a modern twist. The lolita-esque café is entertainment delight all in itself. Decked with chic tables and wait staff wandering in costume maid dresses, serving tea and cupcakes along with their extensive menu catering a fusion of Japanese/French cuisine, you'll find yourself in utter bliss. If your tired of the same old, loud and crowded lounge when meeting your friends for some drinks....this is the place to be! With an eclectic change of scenery, The café is open from 10-10 and serves delicious sakitinis, sake and a long list of wine and beer. You can't go wrong. Guys, dont be afraid. It's an atmosphere any guy or girl in their right mind would enjoy. If your in the LA area, this café is definitely worth checking out!  With loads of tea-cups, cupcakes, specialty drinks, walls covered with photos of dashing harajuku type girls and art to last for days...If you're in the LA area, this place is definitely worth checking out! Oh, and lets not forget...If your looking for a great place to have a party or showcase your art/products, The Royal/T offers event space and pop-up shop rentals at competitive prices with a complimentary launch party. What more could you ask for? Skip your cup of tea at Starbucks, scribble your name off the guest list at Playhouse and come hang at Royal/T. You won't be dissapointed! Until next time...
