Rachel Bilson in Elizabeth and James Black Sendi Wedges

I have a feeling that if I hung out with celebs....she would be one of my besties! Along with Rachel Zoe, Nicole Richie and Victoria Beckham of course. Then I'd merge my celeb friends with my real ones and it would be just fantastic!! Imagine the damage we'd do?!
Anyway, I just had to post this pic of Rachel, rocking Elizabeth and James wedges (extra points for that my friend!). So casual, yet fierce! Love.

It's a business doing pleasure

I made it a movie night on Sunday and picked up Ashton Kutchers flick, 'Spread'. It's a sex comedy centered on a serial womanizer and his jilted lover. It's set in L.A. with an iconic look at the lure of sex, money, and access that Hollywood offers. I was shockingly surprised on how intriguing I found it to be. I'm an L.A. kid at heart, grew up in the city and worked the doors of Hollywood's elite scene before I was 21, so I've been around long enough to know a good L.A. kind of film when I see one. People usually go a little over board when trying to perfect the whole L.A. and Hollywood scene in a film. I'm no film major, but Spread was just right! I had been holding out on renting it for a while too. But with a 'Free Rental' promo code from the $1 'RedBox' (don't you love those?), I drove to my nearest rental station, picked up the flick and what a suprise! I ended up actually loving it. Even my movie critic (or so he thinks!) boyfriend was happy with the end result of the film. Anyway, I didn't even come here to ramble on about the movie. After watching the movie, I coincidently came across a photo of Demi Moore dressed strikingly similar to her boy toy husband, Ashton Kutcher in Spread. Hmm...maybe she was just as intrigued as I was?

Fashion is a battlefield.

Who knew going against my enemy could be as fashionable as this? The iconic double-c logo just got a little more sassy. Japanese artist, Tetsuya Noguchi created concept samurai armors in honor of french couture house, Chanel and it's vivacious! Fashion week and sample sales could use some of this armor. We all know hitting the runways of fashion week, behind and on the scene can get a little crazy. Don't even get me started on sample sales! I say we all invest in one of these, dont you think?

Broke is The New Black

Love this!!! It's pure genius.
Why didn't I see this before it sold out at Urban Outfitters? Grrr.....

Lifestyles Of The Rich And The Famous

I'm a little late on this, but I couldn't help but share Chanel's new Sports & Lifestyles collection. It's enough to make you want to forget about being 'Posh Spice' and switch it up to 'Sporty Spice' for a minute. Actually, let's just say it's enough to get you pumped, energetic and ready for ANY sport that comes your way (as long as chanel's logo is attached to it, of course!). I couldn't believe how far they stretched their french couture house with this new collection. I'm not complaining though. It's beyond sporty chic. The whole collection is on another level and I don't even know where to start?! It makes me want to be a Pro Snowboarder, Surfer and Tennis player. With my non existent history in sports, I'd have to say I have the most chance at being a pro tennis player, so let's just go with that! The Sports & Lifestyles collection makes me want to ride my bike all day, learn how to play the guitar, lift weights all day and go roller blading. Let me make it clear though. I'd like to do all of the above under one condition: All the gear/equipment has to come from Chanel's Sports & Lifestyle collection. A girl can dream right?

Fur Tail Keychains

What a fox! After I came across a photo of Victoria Beckham in London, something sparked my mind. She was sporting a Louis Vuitton Messenger straight from the LV Spring/Summer 2010 collection and when I saw the oversized Fox Tail fur tassels hanging from the bag, it all clicked. I remembered catching Kanye West rocking a fox tail keychain at the 2008 American Music Awards and then Chris Brown followed the possible, upcoming trend at a performance he did. Is the fur tail keychain making it's way into the fashion mainstream? It's too early to tell, but I wouldn't be surprised if the trend rises up and cause a little fashion commotion.

Let's Peruse The Essentials Of Cool

Nixon 51-30 Watch

I've had the biggest craving for a nice, sleek, gold watch. I've been on the hunt for who knows how long and I have yet to get my shine on! Anyway, in the midst of searching and searching...I came across the Nixon 51-30 watch. It's a statement watch, and I like making statements! It's a Nixon classic with its oversized face and luxurious quality. You can't go wrong with this watch...unless you're a girl. Now, don't get me wrong. I'm all about stealing a button down from my boyfriends closet, only to adorn it with a hot belt, statement jewelery, skinny jeans and some sexy pumps. But when it comes to the Nixon 51-30 watch....I just don't see it making it's way to my wrist. It's too big and a little on the heavy side. Nontheless, the 51-30 is hot, hot, hot!! If it aint wrapping around my wrist, it will make it's way to my bf's. Consider it for your own man too! If he's into watches and cares about looking good, check this baby out! It features 300 meter water resistance, Swiss quartz movement and a brushed stainless steel wrist band. It comes in a variety of colorways to match your mans personality and cost a pretty sum of $450! What's in it for you? Your dude will not only look good and in style, but he'll be on time now too!

Taylor Jacobson Roseark House Cross Necklace

Anyone who knows me will tell you 'I Diiiiiee' for the Rachel Zoe Project! I've been a fan of Rachel's long before her reality show so you could only imagine my excitement when the Rachel Zoe Project came along! She has such a keen eye for style and creativity...you can't help but appreciate her sense of fashion. Ahh RZ, my idol. Anyway...as much as I love Rachel Zoe, I also LOOOOOVE a necklace that was featured on her Bravo hit reality series! Oh yes ladies! It's the Roseark House Cross necklace RZ's sassy assistant, Taylor Jacobson debuted on the reality show!

Wasn't it to die for?!! Loved the way it could be rocked sideways or upward and it's classic look. I've had my eye on this for while and for a pretty price of $495 it could be mine. Mind you, the one that cost $495 is the cheaper version. The necklace can range anywhere from $495 to $695, depending on the finish. It comes in Rose Gold, White Gold or Yellow Gold and is available plain or diamond.

Roseark - House Cross $495-$695

Have I steered you away from reality? Don't hate me. I've got some news that is MAYJAAH! So, while I was browsing Etsy, I came across this Roseark House Cross replica and nearly fell of my seat!

Amaaziing right?! I haven't even told you the best part...it only cost $41.00
Umm...excuse me?! I'll take it!!
Thank you ClassicDesigns at Esty! Inspired by the Roseark House Cross, Theresa Mink was asked if she could make a necklace simliar to the popular design. With such a high demand for the Roseark cross, Theresa made it possible for gals to stay in tune with celebrity fashion on a budget. Now, if you got the money to shell out for the Roseark House Cross, go for it!! Treat yourself to a nice gift. But if you're looking to treat yourself without breaking the bank, go with this one! She usually sells out fast but takes special orders. I can only imagine the requests she gets for this! For $41, I'll have to pick up a few myself. My fashionable mother and aunt wouldn't talk to me for a week if I got this without getting them one (Yes, I'm talking about you Dianna!). They, too, are Rachel Zoe queens! As of now, ClassicDesigns currently has one available. I'll have to special order mine...but for the rest of you who don't need more than 1, may the best girl win!

Review: Coastal Scents 88 Warm Palette

Okay, so if you haven't heard of Coastal Scents....your life is about to change. I came across this beauty craze on Youtube and I was immediately drawn to it. All the beauty gurus raved about Coastal Scents and how some of the products were comparable to MAC. So, I took it upon myself to see what all the fuss was about and ordered the most popular and raved about products. 1 week later, my shipment came in and I was soo excited! Delivery was pretty fast considering I ordered 2 days before Christmas and everything was well packaged. Anyway, on to the important things. Okay, so let's start with the eyeshadows. I got the '88 Warm' Palette and O my gaaahh! The colors are amazing and sooo pigmented! Very MAC comparable. I'll have to do some swatches for you guys so you can see for yourself. I ordered this palette for my mother and I and it was bliss! We couldn't stop playing with all the beautiful colors. If you like smokey eyes and opt for a more natural look, this is definitely the way to go! The eyeshadow pots are dime size, but with 88 colors to choose from...you can't go wrong. Did I mention it only cost 24.95? Yeah, not too shabby. Just because something is low in price, doesn't mean it's low in qulaity. I love me some MAC and I'm sure you do too, but it can get a little pricey and it doesn't hurt to try some new products. Especially in the 20 dollar range. It's also a great palette if you are just starting your makeup collection. Here is a close up of the colors...

Now, let's move on to a couple of the brushes I ordered! Okay, so I wouldn't necessarily say they are MAC comparible, but they are definitely worth your while! I ordered the Pink Oval Fluff Shadow, Italian Badger Doe Foot Stippler and the Black Deluxe Shadow brush. I'll start off by saying they are extremely soft and pack on great color! If you're on the hunt for some good quality brushes on a budget....check these out! I think I spent less than $10 bucks on 3 brushes and I'll be getting some more for sure! I don't know what it is, but I have an obsession with makeup brushes. I don't even wear a lot of makeup, but my brush set is expanding rapidly! Now, if you're looking for some MAC comparable brushes...stay tuned! I ordered some Sigma Brushes and picked up some Professional Paint brushes by Loew Cornell and you don't want to miss the review on those! They are INCREDIBLE and almost exact replicas of MAC. Again, I love MAC...but it's always fun to save some money and expand your collection. What's the harm in having ome extra brushes on hand? My bestiie is a fab makeup artist and I know she can never get enough shopping for beauty products to add to her collection. Here are some pics of the brushes, courtesy of coastalscents.com

Great for blending your crease line.

Packs on color and catches the intensity of the eyeshadow.

Larger than your usual shadow brush. Best to use for contouring.

New Year. New Beginings.

Happy New Years to all my fellow fashionista's! DulceLuxe is back in full effect and better than ever! 2010 is here and I couldn't be more excited. 2009 was an unpredictable year for me. I ended some chapters and with that, started new ones. Some highlights of my year were the fashion shows, Spike Guys Choice Awards, MTV Movie Awards, Jay-Z in Vegas, Craps in Vegas, styling my first real shoots, getting my new york-esque condo and working in fashion in general. Which brings me to my accomplishments. 2 of my biggest and best accomplishments of 2009 was building up the courage to move out on my own and take on the world of fashion as my career choice. I'm happy and proud of the choices I made in 2009. They opened doors I never even knew existed and I've happily finished the last chapter of 2009 with a smile. I'm closing this book and starting a new one. I'm excited to see what's in store for me. I have a feeling it will involve lots of sequins, diamonds and pearls. We are all capable of big things in 2010...What are you waiting for? Just stick to my usual motto...'Go big or go home' and raise your glasses! This is gonna be a good year....Cheers!
